Day 1:
Nothing much to do after reaching. Visited the 1st stop - Bugis. Oh yea... we walk from Bugis to City Hall - now that's something.
Day 2:
Biology practical exam. Kinda easy actually. I nearly lol (laughed out loud) when I saw the question paper. Those people were studying hard and memorizing the figures for the exam, but apparently, the question ask us to do nothing more than to draw the fish given, and the gills.
After the exam we went to have a lunch and walked a while. Basketball for the evening.
Day 3:
We went to East Coast at morning. A nice place to cycle and relax. I even had a walk along the seaside. It's been a long time I had set my food on a seashore. There is skating shoes available too, but no thanks for me. Had breakfast there too.
After that we went for a walk at the nearby shopping mall and went back to the lounge. Had basketball for the evening too.
Day 4:
Chemistry practical exam. No comments. Not much problem on it, mainly it's because we are used to it already. This clearly shows that our chemist teacher is doing a very good job... Just kidding... lol...
Went to Riverside at night. We thought we can have some beer there. Bad luck, the police had just swept there, so the waiters dont sell us. The view there aren't bad, though.
Had to get back into the lodge via the back door. Well, our warden knew it anyway - the door wasn't locked.
Day 5:
Hwa Chong Institution Open Day. Went there and had a look at the great school that Edison had been studying for a few years (this is the 3rd year I think). Meet him there too. The curry rice there aren't bad. :)
Jurong East Water Park. Instead of swimming, we had the greatest 'treasure hunt' that I have done before. Crap, it even had 3 stages!
Firstly, I lost my specs in the ordinary swimming pool. Searched and found without problem. [Difficulty - Easy]
Then Ah Pang lost his in the Lazy River - that is a drain-like river system with a fairly strong current flowing in it. Luckily one of our members steps on it (even more luckily, doesn't break it) and found it. [Difficulty - Normal]
Lastly, Devva lost his in the wave pool. Now that's real problem. It's called the wave pool, so there's wave in it. It got worst when Devva lost his in the deeper part of the pool. There is a 30 minutes rest after a 45 minutes of wave. We searched for the whole pool. We even formed a line to sweep through the whole pool. Still there is no sign of his specs. When the first wave after the 30 minutes rest started, I knew that all hopes were gone. [Difficulty - Hard/Insane]
Spend the whole night playing pool and cards.
Day 6:
Sentosa! We went to Sts (Sentosa - that's what Kah Ho used to refer Sentosa) Island that day! The 13 men (and women) crew that include Edison, Wei Mun, Siripon (is it spell like that? sry and inform me if mistaken), CX, Tomato, Neo, Ming, Ho, Mun, Hong, Moo, Christian, Kong.
Visited Underwater World, Images of Singapore, 4D cineplex, Skyride & Down-the-hill-race (i forgot the name for it), Pink Dolphin and Songs of the Sea.
The Underwater World, Images of Sinagpore and Pink Dolphin hasn't change much since my last visit. 4D cineplex and Skyride is new for me (haven't play that before). Song of the Sea is just a tech-heavy replacement for the classic musical fountain. Although the projectile of lasers and story line is pretty nice, but I think I prefer the old musical fountain where the rhyme and pattern of the 'water pillars' (aka fountain) is more focused.
Drink at hostel for the night. Brought some beer from the petrol station opposite of our lodge. The cans there is about 500ml per cans (same as one pint I think). Drank 2 myself. Some of them drank 3! Actually it's not too much I guess. Had some chat there. The content of the chat is not that suitable to be told here.
And holy crap! Jacky keep us awake late enough that I cant fall asleep - not until 6:20am!
Day 7:
Went to cousin's house. Woke up damn late - 12:30pm. Went directly to Tampines after having a bath. I haven't visit my cousin's house since last 2 Christmas. It haven't change much anyway - which is can be considered as a good sign. Mind you, that condo is expensive - get what I mean? Tried his electrical drum-set. Not as cool as the classic one, but still having a lot of fun messing with the beats. Watched the movie: Eagle Eye with my cousin + his brother.
[Spoiler warning]
At last the so call mysterious character is revealed - a stupid computer constructed by the government themselves - that attempt to revolt the current president and change a new one due to the president's mistake.
[/Spoiler warning]
Spent a night at his house.
Day 8:
Back from cousin's house after lunch. Not much to do that day actually. Watching TV and play pool for the whole evening. Had a basketball game with our fellow China students that are staying in the lodge too. Oh yea... my leg got hit in the match... -.-
Day 9:
Physic practical exam. It's not that easy, but I think I still manage a above pass. Had the last shopping trip with Edison, Wei Mun and Christian @ Sumerset.
Boarding the bus to go back to Malaysia at 9:30pm. Bye bye Singapore.
That concludes my 9 days trip to Singapore.
My only souvenir - 2 books (novel) that cost SGD 50.
The bottom line - except several tourism spots, Singapore's trade marks for us are shopping malls (everywhere), nice transport system (buses and MRT), high living standards, and the beeping of the ez-link cards.
Aftermath, out.
